Dear Candidate Employee,
This notice has been prepared in order to inform you, within the scope of Article 10 of the Law on the Protection of Personal Data No. 6698 (the “Law”), regarding the processing of your personal data contained in your résumé and/or work summary that you share or will share with us during your job application, as well as any personal data you may share with us at later stages of our candidate evaluation process.
For the purposes of processing your personal data, the data controller under the Law is Serkoç Otelcilik Turizm İnşaat Taahhüt Ticaret Anonim Şirketi (the “Company”).
WHAT ARE THE PURPOSES OF PROCESSING YOUR PERSONAL DATA?
We may process the personal data contained in your résumé and/or work summary that you share with us for the purpose of applying for a job, and certain additional personal data that we may request from you if you proceed to later stages of our candidate evaluation process (as stated below), for the following purposes:
- Management of the candidate evaluation process and conducting job suitability analyses;
- Management of recruitment/employment, pre-planning processes regarding salary, fringe benefits and benefits to be offered if an employment contract is established, execution of personnel procurement processes, placement, and planning and/or execution of operational processes;
- Planning and execution of activities to ensure business continuity;
- Management of the candidate suitability control workflow process.
(All of the above shall collectively be referred to as the “Purposes”.)
BY WHICH METHODS AND ON WHAT LEGAL BASIS DO WE COLLECT AND STORE YOUR PERSONAL DATA?
In order to fulfill the Purposes stated above, we may obtain your personal data electronically as a candidate employee by means of your visiting the Company’s career page and filling out the form available at https://lujohotel.com/career/ and/or through the applications you make via the Kariyer.net platform following your application.
Your collected personal data is stored digitally in electronic environments in a manner accessible only to our employees, managers, relevant technical support team, and archive personnel who are authorized to access such data solely as required by their duties.
We collect your personal data pursuant to:
- Article 5/2(c) of the Law, where processing is necessary for the establishment or performance of a contract,
- Article 5/2(ç) of the Law, where processing is necessary for the data controller to fulfill its legal obligations, and
- Article 5/2(f) of the Law, where processing is necessary for the legitimate interests of the data controller.
DO WE SHARE YOUR PERSONAL DATA WITH OTHERS?
Your personal data submitted to us as a candidate employee may be shared, solely to a limited extent, with third-party information technology (IT) support service providers resident in Türkiye for the purposes of establishing, operating, maintaining, and supporting the information technology infrastructure.
Such transfer of personal data is carried out:
- pursuant to Article 8/2(a) of the Law in reference to Article 5/2(f), on the legal basis of the legitimate interests of the data controller, and
- where necessary, pursuant to Article 8/2(b) in reference to Article 6/3(f), on the legal basis that it is mandatory for the execution of employment processes.
WHAT RIGHTS CAN YOU EXERCISE FOR THE PROTECTION OF YOUR PERSONAL DATA?
Under the Law, you have the right to:
- Learn whether your personal data is processed,
- Request information if your personal data has been processed,
- Learn the purpose of processing your personal data and whether it is used in accordance with that purpose,
- Know the third parties to whom your personal data is transferred domestically or abroad,
- Request the correction of your personal data if it is incomplete or incorrectly processed,
- Request the deletion or destruction of your personal data within the framework of the conditions stipulated by the relevant legislation,
- Request notification of the correction, deletion, or destruction processes carried out in accordance with the relevant legislation to third parties with whom your personal data has been shared,
- Object to the occurrence of a result against you by analyzing your processed personal data exclusively through automated systems,
- Request compensation for damages in the event that you suffer damage due to unlawful processing of your personal data.
HOW CAN YOU EXERCISE YOUR RIGHTS?
You may submit your applications and requests regarding your personal data to the Company by:
- Sending an email from the email address you have notified to the Company to [email protected],
- Applying to the Company in person with a valid identity document,
- Sending a wet-signed application form and a photocopy of your identity document to

Pursuant to the Communiqué on the Principles and Procedures for the Application to the Data Controller, your application must include:
- your name and surname,
- signature if the application is in writing,
- Turkish ID number (or, if the applicant is a foreign national, nationality, passport number, or identity number, if any),
- residence or workplace address for notification,
- electronic mail address for notification, if any,
- telephone and fax number, if any, and
- information regarding the subject of the request.
Users submitting complaints or suggestions must clearly and explicitly state the matter requested in their application, including explanations regarding the right they wish to exercise. Information and documents related to the application must be attached to the application.
Although the subject of the request must relate to the applicant personally, if the applicant acts on behalf of another person, the applicant must be specifically authorized to do so and this authority must be documented (power of attorney). In addition, the application must include identity and address information and documents verifying identity must be attached. Requests made by unauthorized third parties on behalf of others will not be taken into consideration.
Requests submitted without observing the form and content requirements prescribed by the Law and relevant secondary legislation may not be taken into consideration by the Company.
